History
Launched in 2013 to start delivering football coaching to children aged 2-10, we simply focused on sports coaching, moving on in 2016 to offering Zumba classes at various venues. In 2017 we took over the community gym from the council at the John Willie Sams Centre. The gym enabled us to start working with Age UK, Parkinsons UK, LDNE and other organsiations. Just prior to the pandemic in 2020, we established a provision to engage with children and young people most in need and hard to reach including those with disabilities or additional needs. This is now further enhanced since 2022 with our work within local communities and schools offering after school clubs, holiday clubs, and personal development programs. We also delivered a number of kitchen workshops to young people with additional needs through our Pretendy Chef programme, which also offered children, families and school groups food education, cookery and nutritional workshops and masterclasses.
