Healthy Habits
The Healthy Habits (lads) is a FREE 8-week course aimed at males aged 18+ who have a BMI of 27.5 or more.
The course incorporates an holistic view of health, looking at your physical, mental and social wellbeing. Each week the workshop will include an appropriate physical activity element which can range from Boxing Padwork, Circuits, Pickleball, New Age Kurling etc and also the chance to socialise over a cuppa in a safe environment and have the opportunity to discuss a range of topics from weight management, nutrition education, physical activity guidance and behavioral support to help you achieve lasting results.
Over the course of 8 weeks, we will focus on helping you make realistic, lasting lifestyle changes.

This 8-week course is FREE of charge to all participants.

We only have a maximum of 12 places available on the first course and therefore priority will be given to those who have the following eligibility:
- Residents of North Tyneside
- Males aged 18+
- Have a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 27.5 or more, but below 40.0
- Can commit to attend all eight sessions
Unfortunately, the programme is not open to people who:
- are receiving palliative or end of life care
- have had a heart attack or stroke within the last 3 months
- have been clinically diagnosed as having an eating disorder
If you don’t know your BMI, don’t worry, you can work this out using the NHS BMI calculator or by calling a member of our Qfit Gym team on 0191 2500 166 (Monday to Friday between 2pm to 6pm)
